Minutes of Board of Directors Meeting

In Attendance:

 

Phil Spiller, President

 

Roy Sears, Secretary

 

David Oswald, Treasurer

 

Hearl Mead, Director

 

Karen Lopez, HCMS

 

Paul Merta, Homeowner

  

Absent:  Lesley Lee, Vice President was absent from the meeting.

 

Phil Spiller called the meeting to order at approximately 7:16 PM.

 

The November 29, 2006 Board Meeting was held at the law offices of Daughtry and Jordan, located at 17044 El Camino Real.

 

The agenda was approved as presented.

 

Homeowner Forum:

Mr. Paul Merta was in attendance to talk to the Board of Directors about upcoming projects the association may have for his son, Mike Merta, to complete for an Eagle Scout project.  He would need the HOA board and the Eagle board to approve any projects that he may look into doing for a Scout project.  The board agreed to keep this in mind.

 

Approval of Minutes:

A motion was made to approve the October 18, 2006 minutes, as amended.  Motion passed.

 

Management Report:

The Action Items were reviewed and discussed. 

 

The Correspondence Log was reviewed and discussed. 

 

The Inspection Report was reviewed and discussed.  A motion was made to purchase a trash can for the tennis court area.  Motion passed.

 

The Financials were reviewed and discussed.  A motion was made to approve the September and October financials, as presented.  Motion passed.

 

Committee Reports:

Architectural Control: There was one HIA submitted for review.  A motion was made to approve the home improvement application, as submitted.  Motion passed.  The board reviewed the appeal from 2111 Bennigan regarding the red door.  A motion was made to approve the red color of the front door.  Motion passed.

Crimewatch:  No report was given.

Recreation: No one in attendance to give report. 

Playground:  No one was in attendance to give report.

Newsletter/Website:  Lesley mentioned she would look into emailing the registered members regarding the recent arrest of the robbery suspect in our area.

Landscape:  The Board would like to see if there will be an increase to the landscape contract to maintain the north side of the ditch’s median, now that Brittany Lakes will no longer be maintaining.

Welcome: There was one new owner this period.

 

Old Business:

There was no old business to discuss.

 

New Business: 

There was no new business to discuss.

 

There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made to adjourn to Executive Session at approximately 8:01 PM.  Motion passes unanimously.
